he chuckled, turning to face her. “im sorry mayella. i just couldn’t help myself, your just to cute.” he said with a smile, and like a ghost, he vanished. only to reappear next to her. whispering in her ear, “you still haven’t guessed what i am, mayella..” a devilish grin replaced his smile. “do i need to give you the hint again, my lady?” he said as he took a step back.
Needless to say, Mayella jumped back, practically falling over. She regathered herself before responding, perhaps a bit too scornfully, “You must be a sort of demon; crawling into a girl’s bedroom and attempting to seduce her! And appearing out of thin air, nonetheless!” She crossed her arms again and turned her head away. She could still feel the warmth that burned her cheeks, despite her annoyance.
he smirked, “i wasn’t trying to seduce you, i was just simply teasing you. and is that your final guess mayella? that im a demon?” he grinned showing his fangs once more.
She huffed and rolled her eyes, “Alois, I am growing very tired of this game. Yes, that is my final answer.” She paused a moment before adding, “And teasing could be just as bad. It’s still horribly mean of you.” She uncrossed her arms and turned to face the boy once again, awaiting his response.
